An important turning point in Lalit Dalmia's career came in 2005 when he decided to branch out his family's firm, Dalmia Brothers, into women's ethnic clothing. The company was initially centered on tra ditional menswear, but Dalmia's idea to make elaborate, opulent ap parel for ladies changed it and marked the start of his career as a de signer. When Lalit Dalmia opened his first independent store, Dalmia 103, in Delhi in 2010, he made a significant advancement in his fashion career. The 2,000 square foot store, which went by the name "Lalit Bhai Ki Dukaan," became well-known very fast. For Dalmia, who had already established himself by diversifying his family firm into women's ethnic cloth ing, this was a momentous and audacious occasion.

His transformation from a family company owner to a well-known designer with a distinct brand in the fashion industry was marked with the introduction of Dalmia 103. The store exhibited Dalmia's distinct design sensibilities, which combine contemporary, opulent aes thetics with traditional Indian workmanship. Additionally, it made it possible for him to es tablish a more direct connection with a larger customer by providing bespoke, upscale clothing that embodied his "lifestyle larger than life."

THE BRIDE, THE PRINCESS

Establishing his own couture label, LALIT DALMIA, in 2014 was a significant career turning point for Lalit Dalmia. His official debut into the realm of luxury fashion was signaled by this move, and his opulent, finely crafted, and contemporary designs soon attracted notice. The elephant in the brand's logo stood for strength, ele gance, and approachability—qualities that would characterize his creations.

With LALIT DALMIA, the designer started producing sumptuous, majestic clothing that fused traditional Indian workmanship with modern trends, drawing inspiration from nature and royal lifestyles. His designs were more sought-after for weddings and other high-profile events due to his emphasis on hand embroidery, luxurious materials, and distinctive textures. The brand became well-known for its bridal cou ture, providing glitzy looks that embodied Dalmia's principles: "Every bride de serves to look like a princess".

Lalit Dalmia established himself as one of India's leading designers with the estab lishment of his label in 2014, and his creations soon started to be featured on red carpets and in high-end fashion events.
