In a country where cows are revered, worshipped, and referred to as holy, the modern milking practices are leaving thousands of them on the road to die. When they come to an age and are no more profitable, they are left to survive on their own which they hardly do, or end up in slaughterhouses. Lalit Dalmia seeks to bring change one cow at a time. His charity runs special ambulances to pick up stray cows, give proper medical treatment and find them a house in a Gaushala where they can be taken care of for the rest of their lives.
Hands are the tools that God gifted humankind. Hand-crafted items are not just what they look, on the outside, but each item tells a story weaved out of love and skill. Indian forms of embroidery, some as old as the modern civilization itself, are rare intricate pieces where artisans use all their abilities to create a beautiful embroidery that celebrates their craftsmanship. Each embroidery is imagined in detail and then laid on cloth stitch-by-stitch showcasing the immense effort and skill required to create them. Lalit Dalmia looks forward to helping these artisans, the original designers of yesteryears showcase their skill and creativity. He intends to give them a platform and an audience that appreciates and values them.
